Each year, FHIMA offers over $2000 in scholarships to our young people pursuing music. We offer $30 scholarships to our 4-7th graders in the form of tuition to the summer workshop offered the week after school ends. We offer four $100 scholarships to our 8th graders and six $150 to our 9-11th graders and this money can be used for any pursuit that furthers the child's instrumental career, including private lessons. Finally, we offer a two $150 scholarships to our graduating seniors who plan to major in music. Determination of winners is made by the music directors. The deadline for submission of the application is April 24th. FHIMA provides services to the district’s instrumental music program, such as the care and purchase of uniforms for our high school musicians; scholarships for students in the elementary, middle, and high schools, and for graduating seniors.
